I'd prefer an older man for this. The vocal quality must have the sound of age and wisdom, and I don't think this can be faked. I'd like to use a common cliche here: Poco must have a Native American accent. This will help sell the character and his role as a spirit guide. Poco's lines are few, but they must be delivered with both love and severity.
