Max the Pig makes his balloon out of parts from Vivian the Cow's body and takes off into an endless sky of swirling gray. The ocean is pastey and pallid below him. Everything except Max and his balloon is indestinct. The cow hide from which the balloon is made is spotted black and white. A swollen, pink udder hangs beneath. Max stands in the wicker basket below with several sand-bags hanging over its lip.
